Happy Birthday Jeff!

Last week was what would have been Jeff's 33 birthday. I want my kids to know who he is, even if they can't remember him, so I made some brownies and we blew out candles and sang Happy Birthday. Liam was so excited he ran around the house yelling Happy Birday Uncle Beff! I found 6 candles that had been in my junk drawer for who knows how long. I told the kids the yellow ones were each worth 10 so it made it 33. What I did not realize was that they were trick candles. I honestly don't even remember buying trick candles. We blew them out and suddenly they were all lit up again! The kids got a good laugh as they were screaming about the candles not going out. I like to think Jeff got a good laugh out of that too. He loved things like that. We ended the night looking at pictures of him. We miss him. I wish my kids could have known him better.

You should keep the candles and light the trick ones every year and tell the kids its Jeff. Ya know he'd find a way to do that for sure! So glad you are keepin his memory alive for your kids. :)
