This post is to make everyone feel better about their wild children. Laughing

Elijah had an ear ache in the night so i was up with him. As a result we were 45 min. late for 9am church. So, we sat on the couch in the hall. My mistake was chatting with the woman i was sitting next to instead of paying attention to my kids. My Ethan pulled the fire alarm. Yes, yes he did. A voice started going off saying, this is an emergency please exit the building, and all the magnets that hold the doors open stopped working and all the doors closed. So, my poor son, got so upset, he tried to put the handle back, and broke it! i made Blake, because there was no way i was going to go in front of the entire ward, walk in and tell the bishop what was going on. Luckily the voice only goes off for a couple of min. so they went on with the meeting. They couldn't get it to shut off because it was broken. Finally our previous bishop came out and pressed a button and as long as he was holding it the blinking lights stopped. They were able to tape cardboard over it and stopped it. My poor Ethan was sitting on the couch with a horrified look on his face, like he had just been severely punished. He was so sad. What i don't understand about this whole thing is why in the World they have the fire alarms within reach of children! The Bishop said this one was broken previously, which is the only possible way a 3 year old could have pulled it. it was a missionary homecoming and when it went off the missionary said, "well i guess i'm done."

i am now planning to move.
